Hot and Dry

Uncategorized

It’s too hot in my garage, and I didn’t do very good job yesterday. I made a couple of very stupid rookie mistakes and butchered my slide. My plan B was to use my good old Dremel tool with cutting wheel – and it kinda worked, just looks very ugly.

In the meantime I’m back to working on fundamentals. As a techie, I opened a blank Word document on my 27″ monitor and resized it to fill the entire screen. This gave me a nice white background without distractions. Then I took my ball gun, aimed at the center of the screen, aligned the sights and pulled the trigger. Rinse and repeat.

My phone doesn’t apply the fundamentals and won’t focus on the front sight

TIP: If you like your computer, please make sure your gun is unloaded! If you hate your computer, well…you know…

Feels good to be a gangsta!

MantisX provides really good aid during this kind of training. I used an old 1911 magazine body (without spring and follower), glued a piece of plastic Weaver rail to the bottom and installed MantisX. Below is probably the most useful of all the features of this gadget. Of course, it was my best shot, others were not so good 🙂
