The suppressor project is done. When I started the build, I drilled my baffles 3/8″, but it was not enough, the bullets were keyholing and the shots were all over the place. I opened it up to 7/16″ and now it groups well and the holes are clean and round. Did I say it’s quiet? I only hear the bolt and spring clicking.
The only downside is that all dirt is blowing back into the action and after a couple of magazines the gun is really dirty. But cleaning guns is fun, isn’t it?
Of course, it was just an experiment. But I guess I learned a thing or two, and $200 tax plus $10 in parts was not a big price to pay.
