Rebarreling my Pardini

Uncategorized

This was an interesting experiment. I’ve been trying to make my Pardini .32ACP accurate at 50 yards for quite some time, but without any luck. Finally I’ve decided to make a custom barrel for it and see if the results will improve.

The 5″ length of a rifle .308 blank was a perfect candidate. I cut the chamber, crown, and even a little compensator, although I’m still not sure if it makes any difference – but it certainly looks very sexy 🙂

The shroud was machined from a piece of aluminum and the barrel is threaded in. A small set screw prevents it from rotating.

A quick trip to the blasting cabinet, a spray of matte black Cerakote and she’s ready to go!

The tricky part is to figure out the right load. So far the factory Fiocchi .32ACP JHP ammo looks very promising on the long line, and I’m still planning to use lead .314 bullets for the short line.
